Course Outline
Lean Manufacturing is a computer-based
interactive training system that provides employees a comprehensive overview
of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Lean Manufacturing is divided into three
units: Lean Concepts, Lean Practices, and Implementing Lean.
Upon completion of the lessons in each unit, learners can take the Lean
Challenge to test their knowledge of what they learned in the unit.

Learners will be able to:
- Understand the terms, terminology, and benefits of Lean
Manufacturing.
- Conduct value stream maps of the current state,
identify the potentials for reduced waste and improved flow, and develop a
future state map.
- Participate in the development of a site-specific lean
implementation roadmap.
- Avoid the common pitfalls encountered during lean
implementation.
All employees working
at a company instituting Lean Manufacturing.
